What is the WNBA motive

I can't yet put my finger on it, but there is some strange motive on the part Cathy Engelbert and the WNBA management.
2024 brought Caitlin Clark and a number of new style basketball players to the league. Clark brought a fast pace game. Angel Reese also played a faster style game. Reese and Cameron Brink also brought model looks to the league. They brought visibility to a league that had at best cult status.
The league has at best the worst referees in professional sports. The player injuries the league has is ridiculously high. A part of this injury problem is caused by referees that are calling a game with the concept of MMA contact. I wonder how MMA injuries compare to WNBA injuries.
Engerlbert's leadership is driven either by incompetency or is driven by an ulterior motive. Since there is a lack of transparency and the disgusting officiating continues there is a distrust to league management.
It is ironic there is a new player collective bargaining agreement in the works. Is WMBA management purposely trying to devalue the league? It is statistically proven that you get Caitlin Clark off the court, all viewership goes down. Even Angel Reese has played successfully the modern game, fast pace, running and excelled, but the league is trying to keep the cult product, Maul Ball, on the court.
Devaluation is the only reason that can make sense and that is being used to try to keep player pay down in the event people walk away from Maul Ball. It seems that the WNBA want to crap on women. How disgusting!
